How It Happened
Scottie Scheffler claimed his first Claret Jug in dominant fashion, posting four rounds in the 60s (68-64-67-68) for 17-under 267 at Royal Portrush — four clear of Harris English, who was runner-up to Scheffler in a major for the second time that year.
The win was Scheffler's fourth major and third different leg of the Career Grand Slam, leaving only the U.S. Open outstanding. It capped a two-major 2025 season and made him the defending champion heading to Royal Birkdale in 2026.
